grill-with-docs

Needs your files. Runs only where it can read and write your real files — Claude Code or Cowork.

Use when you keep a project's shared definitions and big decisions in text files, and want them to stay current while you think a plan through out loud. It interviews you, and writes the important bits down as you go.

What it does

It interviews you about your plan — one sharp question at a time, each with a recommended answer — and as the answers land, it writes two things down for you:

It’s the grill-me interview with that second job built in. It’s made for people who work inside a project folder — developers, mostly — where keeping the shared language and the reasoning behind decisions written down actually pays off.

What you’ll need

This one only works in a tool that can open and edit the real files on your computer — Claude Code or Cowork. A regular chat assistant (a Claude Skill, a ChatGPT GPT, a Gemini Gem) can run the interview, but it can’t reach your files, so it can’t do the writing-it-down part — which is the whole point.
